What is Sea Buckthorn? -Plant type: A tough, deciduous shrub (Hippophae rhamnoides) with silver-green leaves and sharp thorns. -Where it grows: Cold, temperate regions across Europe and Asia, including high-altitude areas of the Himalayas (known locally as Leh berry or Chharma). -The Berries: Bright orange or yellow, juicy, highly acidic, and very tart.
